Donaghcloney Old Graveyard
This old graveyard is situated on a mound above the River Lagan. It's clear to see that the site was once a reasonably large ring fort, well sited just above the river. The previously circular site was altered by the building of the road. The oldest known gravestone dated from 1707, but many of the oldest stones are sadly no longer obvious or legible. The following inscriptions are or were on headstones in the graveyard. Photos of headstones follow beneath.

ABCFHA Library Catalogue
We have an ever growing collection of books, pamphlets, booklets, BMD records, news cuttings and more, donated by our members, all of which are available for members to aid their research or add to their knowledge of social history.

Members may peruse the excellent catalogue, shown above, produced by one of our members, Gerry Dunne, which gives great detail about each resource.

Local Members may contact abcfhachair@gmail.com if they wish to borrow one of the resources, which will be brought for them to a 'Coffee/Tea and a Bun' meeting at Brownlow Hub, or instead may ask to collect the resource.

All other members may ask for look-ups from these resources, which we are very happy to provide.

The catalogue is updated on a regular basis as we receive new resources. Should any member have a resource of any sort which they would like to donate to us, we would be delighted to receive it.
